Painting portraits on porcelain is my passion.
As I layer the
colors, I watch the subject come to life.
I feel like I’ve
been given a special gift and it’s incredibly satisfying to
know I can bring joy to others through my talent. Every
portrait I paint gives me the opportunity to create a work
of art that exhibits both beauty and timelessness.
A great portrait
painting goes beyond simply capturing a suitable likeness of
the subject. The physical process of applying the paint
with hand and brush creates a dynamic and unique energy a
mechanical process cannot emulate. A painter, unlike a
photographer, has infinite opportunities to edit what they
observe.
I am influenced by
the great masters such as Michaelangelo and William
Bouguereau. I constantly strive to achieve the highest
artistic plateaus in order to best achieve my goal: to
create portrait paintings on porcelain that will not only
meet but surpass expectations.
