Yesterday I traveled to Bloomington, IL and had lunch with people I worked with in my corporate job. It was a fabulous time, so good to see everyone, meet new people, and simply enjoy conversation.
Friday I travel back to Bloomington. I will be speaking at the chapter PEO luncheon about my art and will be donating a ‘miniature painting of choice’ to the lucky winner of the raffle. Stay tuned…..
If you missed my radio show from Monday, I highly recommend taking the time to listen to the replay at http://www.kimmccool.com /radio. I spoke with Sally Evans, a jewelry designer and creativity coach. She shared some interesting insights in to her artistry and her work with people she coaches to lead a more inspiring life.
More later – Cheers!

I spent last week in Indianapolis at the World Organization of China Painters IN State Show. The show was amazing, so many people, so many activities – I loved it! I made some new friends, have several artists who will be featured on my radio talk show next year, and purchased some porcelain to paint (of course! :-0)
Now I’m unpacking and getting ready for my next adventure.
Cheers!

This has been another wild and CRAZY week! On my radio show this past Monday, I interviewed an amazing young artist, Andrew Orr. He excels in many mediums – oils, watercolor and over glaze. If you missed his interview go to http://www.kimmccool.com/radio.htm and scroll to the bottom of the screen where you can listen to the replay.
I had a phone call I had won a drawing and the prize was a free photo shoot and select photos with our dogs. Well, handling ‘The Herd’ of three is a little overwhelming, so I got our ‘Dinky Dog’ groomed and she and I had our pictures taken together. She’s such a doll! I can hardly wait to see the proofs!
Today I continue to work on preparing for the portrait seminar I’m giving in Greenwood, IN. I’m so excited!!
Have a wonderful weekend – more next week! – Cheers!

This morning I demonstrated painting miniature portraits on porcelain to the ladies in my painting guild in Davenport, IA. We even had a guest come to see how I approach painting my minis! It was great – there were a lot of questions.
Hopefully more people will be interested in painting miniatures – or other things on porcelain….I’d be happy to help them!
Cheers!

Demo in Bradley, IL
Greetings!
I was fortunate to demonstrate painting miniature portraits on porcelain at the IL WOCP State Board meeting yesterday. I was able to see so many people I hadn’t seen in months – renewed friendships and made new friends. My mother rode with me and attended the luncheon and demo. I treasure the times we travel together – the day was bright and sunny – just a complete joy.

Next is a trip to Bradley, IL for a talk and demonstration – Saturday.

This is going to be an exciting few days – this afternoon I’m appearing on KWQC’s “Paula Sands Live” show. I will be painting a miniature and talking about ‘art in minature’. I received the call from the producer of the show yesterday morning, it’s been a flurry of activity here to prepare!
