I gave a presentation yesterday to a group of wonderful women. I spoke to them about my art – the tools, processes, quirks and challenges. It was a wonderful afternoon and went by too quickly.
The presentation was to be 20-30 minutes long……but I spoke for about 45 minutes. It ran long because (1) I am absolutely passionate about my art and (2) there were many great questions.
Truely, “…the work of my hands brings forth the spirit of my heart.”
Think about this: What activities are you involved in you could talk about to others and the time just seems to fly by? If you can identify the particular thing, it’s your PASSION. Live it. Love it.

As I was painting a portrait on a Limoges box today, I found myself reflecting how lucky I am to have had the opportunity to learn from so many wonderful teachers. They all have their own special way of teaching, their own talents they are so willing to share. I have learned so very much from each and every one of them – from brush control, working with gold, design, raised paste and enamels, closed mediums, open mediums……the list could go on and on.
To each of them I want to say ‘thank you’ for being so willing to share your knowledge, experience and skill with others so the wonderful art of painting on porcelain can be passed along.
